When I got back into collecting sports cards, I knew that the days of “a card shop on every corner” were long gone. I quickly learned that some major cities don’t even have a single card shop nearby. Fortunately, I live near St. Louis, where there are more than a half-dozen shops within a 30-minute drive from my home.
My son and I visited most of the local shops during the first few months. RbiCru7 Sports Cards and Collectibles in Florissant, MO quickly became our favorite. From that all-important friendly greeting when my son and I first walked through the door to their trade nights and online presence, they are what I think a card shop should (and needs to) be in the modern era.
Cardboard Treasures and RbiCru7 recently agreed to a partnership for live personal box breaks two days a week. On Wednesdays and Fridays from 11 AM CST to 2:30 PM CST, we will stream live on Instagram (follow @RbiCru7 and @cboardtreasures) for personal box breaks.
We thought this would be a great way to offer a regular schedule for their popular Instagram personal box breaks while introducing their 11,000+ followers to Cardboard Treasures.
You can select your personal boxes here from RbiCru7’s large inventory and have them shipped sealed or enjoy a live break on a Wednesday or Friday.
